The Chartered Economic Analyst (ChEA) is a professional designation conferred by the National Institute of Continuing Education (NICE). The designation was created in the spring of 2006.〔(Start of the Program" )〕 To receive authorization to use the designation, a candidate must attend a series of classes and pass a final examination that tests the candidate on their understanding of economics principles, the application of said principles, and a thorough understanding of the ethics of doing so.〔("Syllabus" )〕 == Education Requirements == The education requirements for a ChEA are a high school degree, a current series 6 and/or 7 and 63 license, and current state-issued insurance licensure. After these initial requirements are met, a candidate must attend an intensive 3-day class that focuses on the application of economic principles through a case study method and pass a rigorous exam.
